The international garden exhibition Floraart is the largest horticultural event in this part of Europe, which gathers more than 170 domestic and foreign exhibitors. The exhibition is visited by hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Floraart is organized by the Zagreb Holding – Zrinjevac Subsidiary, the co-organizer is the City of Zagreb, and during the four days of the fair, more than 170 domestic and foreign exhibitors presented themselves.
Considering the large number of gardening enthusiasts gathered at Floraart, it was the right place to present the LIFE CONTRA Ailanthus project. At one of the stands, employees of the Institute for the Environment and Nature shared information on how to remove ailanthus to all interested visitors. With useful tips about ailanthus removal, leaflets with the most important information about the project were also available. In addition to leaflets, visitors could also get a garden hoe – best tool for fighting this invasive species.
Presentation of the project at public events is part of the E1 activity – raising public awareness, and during the duration of the project, LIFE CONTRA Ailanthus will be presented at similar events throughout Croatia.
